CRS’ relief and development work is accomplished through programs of emergency response, HIV, health, agriculture, education, microfinance, and peacebuilding. Many of our programs are implemented in very complex operating environments. To deliver these programs, CRS manages a fleet of approximately 1,400 light vehicles, an estimated 2,000 motorcycles, and an assortment of other specialty vehicles.

Manager of Global Fleet CRS seeks an experienced professional for the Global Fleet Manager position to provide Agency-wide leadership on all aspects of CRS fleet management within the humanitarian development and relief context. The Global Fleet Manager provides strategic direction to the CRS fleet management function at the global, regional, and country program levels, and furthers alignment with the overarching CRS strategic priorities and Agency needs. This position is a key member of the International Transportation and Logistics (ITL) unit within the Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) department and reports to the Director of ITL. The Global Fleet Manager has one direct report. Given the global nature of CRS’ fleet operations, it is important that the Global Fleet Manager possess excellent communication and presentation skills with a strong background in relationship building and influencing.

The Global Fleet Manager collaborates closely with the DRD/Ops and the Health, Safety and Security Unit (HSSU) to develop and promote a proactive vision for fleet safety and security, to develop efficiencies in the management of the CRS global fleet, and to design or refine CRS’ approach to driver recruitment, orientation, professional development, fleet performance monitoring and reporting. An overall goal of this position is to promote, build and reinforce a culture of road safety and security, and to strengthen and optimize the delivery of high quality, effective and efficient transport services to CRS staff, partners and program participants while reducing CRS environmental impact of our fleet operations.
