Fleet Forum announces new board members following successful elections

General Assembly

Fleet Forum is pleased to announce the results of its recent board elections. The elections were held during a General Assembly in Geneva on 23 October, and saw the enthusiastic participation of 20 member organisations.


Fleet Forum Board of Directors plays a crucial role in guiding the organisation, making strategic decisions, and ensuring our mission is carried out effectively. We are excited to introduce the following individuals who have been (re-)elected to the board as of 1 January 2024:


Mads Kjaer | New - President of Fleet Forum

Previously interim, and now officially President of Fleet Forum, Mads Kjær is personally involved and dedicated through the relationship of business to reach the United Nation’s 2030 SDGs. He is today the CEO- and majority Owner of KJAER GROUP A/S and has over the last +15 years worked as Business Angel- and Impact Investor in a number of companies and co-founded www.myc4.com as one of the worlds first crowdfunding platforms.

Juan Galvez | New – Board Member

After few years with a major corporate consultancy firm in Spain, Juan Galvez joined the IFRC 17 years ago, gaining wide experience at the Geneva Secretariat, in four regional offices, the logistics hub in Dubai, and other field missions – mainly in supply chain and logistics – ranging from emergency response, capacity assessment, and training. His current role is global lead for Supply Chain Environmental Sustainability and Logistics Capacity Development of Red Cross Red Crescent National Societies.


Carmen Garcia Duro | Re-elected Board Member

Carmen García Duro is the Sustainable Supply Chain Alliance Project Manager at ICRC.

She has been working for almost 15 years in logistics in the humanitarian world, 8 of them in the field with different organizations and 5 years in HQ as a head of sector for logistics.


Mike Tomkins | Re-elected Secretary of the Board

Mike Tomkins is the Partnership Leader - Security, Safety & Resilience at World Vision. A seasoned global executive, with specialties in global emergency, security and crisis management, Mike has extensive experience in business continuity, organisational resilience, investigations and people management.


Sulaiman Ken Sesay | Re-elected Board Member

Sulaiman Ken Sesay is currently working for Action Against Hunger in South Sudan as Country Director. He has over 16 years’ experience working in humanitarian sector with focus on project and operations management including logistics and safety and security. He holds a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) in Public Sector Management.


Kevin Jones | Re-elected Board Member

Kevin Jones is the Executive Chairman of Bassadone Automotive Group. Under Kevin’s leadership, TGS has become a long-term partner of Fleet Forum, supporting activities such as the Annual Conference and Fleet Forum Summit.


Paul Jansen, Executive Director expressed gratitude for the active involvement of our members in the election process. "I am delighted to welcome these talented individuals to our board of directors. Their diverse and complimentary experiences will undoubtedly strengthen Fleet Forum’s ability to make a positive impact in our community and beyond."


Outgoing Treasurer Sandra Goris

Regrettably, Sandra Goris, Treasurer of the Board for Fleet Forum will be stepping down. Mads Kjaer remarked “I am very grateful for the time and dedicated expertise Sandra has generously shared with us. Over the last 6 years, Sandra has played a key role in strengthening Fleet Forum’s financial administration and reporting as well as advising the board on financial strategy.” The Fleet Forum Board thanks Sandra for her service and wishes her great success in future endeavours.
